| In response to the atrocities
committed in Lebanon during the July War of 2006, concerned Lebanese-Americans of Greater
Boston have lead a series of peaceful demonstrations
and candlelight vigils
at Copley Square in Boston under
the Justice for Lebanon banner.
Those
grassroots events were a few of many organized across the U.S. and
worldwide.
In solidarity with the people of Lebanon, we strongly supported the Lebanese
Government in:
 |
Denouncing the Israeli Military’s killing of innocent
Lebanese civilians, devastation of Lebanon’s infrastructure, and
terrorizing its entire population
|
 |
Demanding an immediate and unconditional ceasefire to end
all hostilities and halt the maritime and air siege imposed by
Israel on Lebanon
|
 |
Urging the U.S. Government and international community to
provide comprehensive support in ending the destruction of
Lebanon and aiding in its full recovery
|
 |
Establishing its full sovereignty over all Lebanese territory
with the sole right and duty of defending the dignity and
security of all Lebanese citizens |
Concerned citizens from all walks of life joined us at the
Justice for Lebanon demonstrations
calling for the
immediate cessation of the humanitarian and economic catastrophe
taking place in Lebanon at the time [download]
